NPO法人JDA協会の正式イベントである「JDA Round Talk」は、このたび第12回を迎え、株式会社ササクラ様のテクノプラザにて開催いたしました。現場見学会と、対面・リモートを併用したハイブリッド形式の講演会には、63名の皆様にお申し込みいただき、盛況のうちに終了いたしました。
株式会社ササクラ様は、海水淡水化分野のフロントランナーとして、中東地域や舶用向け装置の設計・施工を手掛けてこられました。その高度な分離技術は、海水淡水化にとどまらず、排水・廃棄物処理、ヒートポンプ・熱交換、さらには音響・消音事業など幅広い分野に応用され、社会に貢献しています。今回のイベントでは、これら事業の発展の歴史や、研究開発が進むカーボンリサイクルへの取り組みについてご紹介いただき、さらにテクノプラザに併設された蒸発濃縮装置やヒートポンプの製造現場、実証装置の見学を行いました。
また、広島県大崎上島で進められているスケールアップ実証では、同社の卓越した蒸発濃縮技術を活用し、海水由来のマグネシウムと石炭火力発電由来のCO₂を効率的に固定化したコンクリートの開発が進められています。これは、海洋資源の有効利用とカーボンリサイクルの次世代技術の構築に向けた重要な取り組みであり、JDAとしても大きな期待を寄せ、今後も応援してまいります。
The 12th JDA Round Talk, organized by the Japan Desalination Association (JDA), was successfully held at the Techno Plaza of SASAKURA Engineering Co., Ltd. The event featured a site tour and a hybrid seminar combining in-person and remote participation, attracting 63 registered attendees.
SASAKURA is a leading innovator in seawater desalination, delivering advanced facilities for the Middle East and marine applications. Its expertise in separation technology extends beyond desalination to wastewater and waste treatment, heat pumps and heat exchangers, as well as acoustic and noise control solutions. During the event, participants learned about the company’s history of technological development, its ongoing research into carbon recycling applications, and toured the Techno Plaza facilities, including the evaporation concentration system, heat pump manufacturing site, and demonstration units.
In addition, Sasakura is conducting scale-up demonstrations on Osaki-Kamijima Island (Hiroshima Prefecture), leveraging its advanced evaporation concentration technology to develop concrete that efficiently fixes magnesium derived from seawater and CO₂ from coal-fired power plants. This initiative represents a significant step toward sustainable utilization of marine resources and next-generation carbon recycling technologies. JDA is proud to support and promote these efforts.
