ベルリン（ドイツ）で本年5月に開催されたGLOBAL WATER SUMMITでGLOBAL WATER AWARDの受賞者が発表されました。
主な受賞は以下です。
- Desalination Plant of the Year: Taweelah IWP, UAE
造水容量909,000m3/dに50MWの太陽光発電設備を備えた世界最大の海水淡水化プラントです。その規模と効率の点でこれまでの境界を打ち破ったことが評価されました。
- Desalination Company of the Year：Gradiant
産業用水分野における専門知識と優れた技術の融合が評価されました。同社は積極的な人材獲得や企業買収により2022年の売上を前年比2倍にしました。同社独自のCounterflow reverse osmosis（CFRO）はブライン濃縮の新規アプローチとして注目を集めることに成功しました。
- Water Technology Company of the Year：DuPont Water Solutions
同社は、DesaliTec、FilmTec、inge、Memcor、OxyMem など膜ブランドにおいて、水業界で最も幅広いポートフォリオを提供しています。嘉興市（中国浙江省）のランドマークである世界最大の上水プラントにNF膜を提供しており、拡張後の造水容量は550,000m3/dに及びます。
- Breakthrough Technology Company of the Year:ZwitterCo
米国のスタートアップである同社は、両性イオンの特性を利用した堅牢な高分子膜を作成しました。親水性で耐ファウリング性に優れ、困難な排水処理を可能にします。
- Water Project of the Year：Jiaxing Drinking Water Upgrade
嘉興市（中国浙江省）のMF/NF上水プラント（造水容量300,000m3/d）は、NF膜による上水プラントとしては世界最大であり、第2期拡張工事が本年着工の予定です。
